One really has to wonder WTF kind of world we live in when spammers try to spam blogs (like say...this pathetic little site).  I hate to say it but it's really starting to get obvious that...anonymity on the web is kind of a bad thing.  Or perhaps we need a secondary web...one that (again) lacks anonymity.  Then spammers and hackers would be forced out.  Of course, finding a way to fix all the vulnerabilities on the servers and in various OS' would do much the same thing.

Didn't realize the contact form (in the About section) wasn't working properly...it's been fixed.

Just caught some videos on youtube.  Funny stuff. He has quite a few videos.

Lately I've been working with quite a few other sites and it's kind of got me thinking about upgrading poitsplace, adding adding features, etc.  I wouldn't actually change it that much to be honest, but I'd kind of like to add little touches I haven't added so far.  It's not something I look forward to though.  It's kind of a crap shoot, sometimes things convert/upgrade perfectly, sometimes they just screw up completely.

After years of waffling I finally got off my ass and made fakesites.com look like an...ummm... well, it looks a lot better, I think.

OMFG!  My new work machine is actually faster than my home machine.  It's got a Core2Duo at 1.86ghz and 2gigs of RAM.  Only thing that's faster about my home machine is the video card (X800XT at home v/s an X1300 here.

Finally got around to changing the permissions so normal people can't post links.  Some asshat spammer was posting dozens of entries with nothing but links.  I need to work on a brutal terms of use for that...maybe something along the lines of...spammers agree to pay me $1000 per entry or $100 per link, whichever is greater :)

Well, a friend of mine FINALLY managed to get their movie up on Youtube.  You should check it out, it's a really funny (dare I say, hilarious) sci-fi short.

Nothing much going on today (so far as I know) other than the winter weather passing thru.  Supposed to be over by tonight but *shrug* who knows.   Maybe I'll even get lucky and not have to go to work.
